Educating the Whole Child:
Mind, Body and Spirit.
An online "grade book" called EDGE is used to manage student grades, progress, and report cards as well as track class and school performance data and overall academic progress.
Specifically, Edge offers parents/students the ability to track academic progress instantly and daily giving access to specific grades, report cards, progress reports and attendance.
School administrators, teachers, students and parents are able to track academic progress instantly, measuring and monitoring student and school progress. Reports also offer current academic performance and student standing by class, subject and school.
"The results of Assumption School's first MAP Growth testing taken this fall 2018 are in!
Each of the grades testing, third through seventh, were "above the norm" (10.5 million students tested) in the three areas tested, Math, Language Usage, and Reading.
The news thrilled our entire staff, since it begins all the way down in pre-school with each teacher after that. Each of our teachers plays a part in the educating of your child and to know that our students are testing above the "norm" is fantastic! Thank you to you and our staff for all the hard work and dedication to our children!"
Catholic education not only teaches students to reach their academic potential, but also balances academic excellence with faith and social justice. Catholic education is active in teaching our students that God is in their life. As a child’s awareness of God develops, he or she also becomes an instrument of God’s grace in their family, community and in the world.
As part of the Diocese of Worcester Catholic Schools, Assumption School has implemented MAP® Growth™ to help better assess our students' progress. This will help them to get the tools they need to be successful in the classroom and pursue their passions, shape their future, and maximize their full potential both academically and spiritually.MAP® Growth™ measures what students know and informs what they’re ready to learn next.
By dynamically adjusting to each student’s responses, MAP Growth creates a personalized assessment experience that accurately measures performance. Timely, easy-to-use reports help teachers teach, students learn, and administrators lead, putting assessment into action means using MAP Growth data to pinpoint the instructional areas your students are ready to tackle—whether they’re on, above, or below grade level.
MAP® Growth™ reports growth over time
Reveals how much growth has occurred between testing events and, when combined with our norms, shows projected proficiency. Educators can track growth through the school year and over multiple years.
MAP® Growth™ reports transform data into actionable insights
Teachers use them to differentiate instruction and pinpoint individual student needs. Higher-level reports give administrators the context to drive improvement across entire schools and systems.
