Educating the Whole Child:
Mind, Body and Spirit.
Assumption School participates each year in hands-on science and service at the Community Harvest Project which grows hundreds of thousands of pounds of fruits and vegetables each year to donate to food-insecure individuals and families in the Worcester County area of Massachusetts. Our students plant in the spring and harvest in the fall. Spring 2019 our students planted 37,000 servings of green and yellow beans, leeks, broccoli, and lettuce!
Here at CHP we are dedicated to building a healthy and engaged community through volunteer farming and nutrition education. In 2018, CHP engaged over 8,500 volunteers who helped us grow and donate over 440,000 servings of fresh fruits and vegetables throughout the Massachusetts hunger relief network.
Thank you for being part of the healthy solution to hunger in our community!
